How we did it
After competitions, at around 11:15, everyone, who would go, would meet up at the band gate so we can all go together. We would all carpool to Denny's with each other. We would use about 3 cars to take everyone who is going to go. It also helped a lot that the seniors would drive people. We would also pay for our own stuff, so no one has to pay for anyone else and no one feels guilty. I would carpool with my friend, and then my other friend would take me home. All of us lived within a half-mile distance from each other. And that became really helpful since competitions would be on Saturdays.
